Refund policy
Every situation in which money comes back to you, in one place. Last updated 4 August 2026.
You cancel before delivery
- Not yet assigned to a translator — full refund, no deduction.
- In progress — you pay for the pages already translated, we refund the rest at the published page prices (£34.95 for the first page and £28.00 for each additional page). A 4-page order at £118.95 cancelled with 2 pages done: £62.95 chargeable, £56.00 refunded.
- Delivered — no cancellation refund; the acceptance guarantee applies instead.
- Add-ons not yet provided are refunded in full. Notarisation and apostille fees are not refundable once submitted to a notary or the Legalisation Office, though our service fee is.
The institution refuses the certification
If the institution you named at checkout refuses it over the certification itself, send us their decision in writing and we redo it free — and if the second attempt still doesn't land, you get every penny back. 90 days from the date on your certificate.
We got something wrong
Corrections are free and unlimited where the mistake is ours. This is separate from the guarantee and has no time limit. A change that would make the translation no longer match the original is declined, and that is not grounds for a refund.
How to ask
Email hello@acceptedtranslations.com with your order reference and, for a guarantee claim, the institution's decision. There is no claim form. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
