This page confirms that we issued a certificate and names the translator who signed it. It never shows the document, the applicant's details or anything that was translated — only that we issued it, when, and who signed it.
Certificates do not expire. A result is still valid as long as it has not been withdrawn or superseded by a later version.

Questions about verification
What does this page actually prove?
That we issued the certificate on the date shown, for the document type shown, and that a named translator on the CIOL or ITI register signed it.
Does a certificate expire?
No. A certificate stays valid unless it is withdrawn or superseded by a later version. The date on the certificate is the issue date, not an expiry date. Some institutions ask for documents to be less than a certain age, but that is their own rule.
Can a reference be reused or transferred?
No. Each reference belongs to one certificate. If a translation is corrected or reissued, the new certificate gets its own reference and the old one is marked superseded, so a caseworker can tell which version they are holding.
The reference isn't found. What now?
Check for a typo first — references look like AT-4K9P-22, and the letter O never appears, only zero. If it still doesn't match, the document was not issued by us.
Do I need to be involved when someone checks it?
No. Anyone holding the certificate can run the check themselves, and we're not told who looked or when, so nothing about the check gets back to your application.
