Specific requirements for this document.

- All seals, signature blocks and the issuing department, described in English.
Police certificates are usually submitted where a specific rule requires them: certain UKVI visa categories, regulated employment, and roles involving children or vulnerable adults. The receiving body is typically checking two things — that the certificate is recent, and that its operative wording is clear. Both depend on the translation being literal.
The operative line is short and it must be exact. A Spanish certificate stating that the register contains no entries relating to the applicant is not the same as one listing entries, and the difference cannot be softened, summarised or rendered as a general "clean record" phrasing. We translate the ministry's wording as written and identify the issuing department, so the reader is looking at the statement Spain actually made.
Most modern Spanish certificates are issued electronically with a CSV code that lets the receiving body verify the document directly with the Ministerio de Justicia. That code is part of the document's evidential value, so we reproduce it exactly and label it. Losing it turns a verifiable certificate into an unverifiable photocopy.
Validity is worth checking before you order. Many UK bodies want a police certificate issued within the last three or six months. The translation does not extend the life of the certificate, so if yours is close to the limit, request a fresh one from the ministry first and send us that.
And the certification itself
Whatever the document, the certificate that travels with it carries the same four elements UKVI asks for: a confirmation that it is a true and accurate translation; the date; the reviewer's full name and signature; and our contact details. On top of that it names the reviewing translator's professional body and membership number, and links to a verification page the receiving institution can check without contacting you.

Questions about this document
How recent does my police certificate need to be?
That is set by whoever asked for it — commonly within the last three or six months. A translation does not refresh the certificate's date, so if yours is near the limit, obtain a new one from the Ministerio de Justicia before ordering.
Does the electronic verification code need translating?
It is reproduced exactly and labelled, not translated. The CSV lets the receiving body check the certificate directly with the ministry, which is part of why the document carries weight.
Do you translate certificates from Latin American countries too?
Yes — Spanish-language police certificates from any issuing country, translated into English and certified the same way. Send it over by email or the contact form if you want the turnaround confirmed first.
