Cancellation policy and the 14-day right

How to cancel, what you pay if work has started, and the model cancellation form. Last updated 4 August 2026.

What you pay if you cancel

  • Not yet assigned to a translator — full refund, no deduction. We record a timestamp when an order is assigned, and that timestamp is the boundary.
  • In progress — you pay for the pages already translated and we refund the rest, calculated on the published page prices (£34.95 for the first page and £28.00 for each additional page).
  • Delivered — no cancellation refund. The acceptance guarantee applies instead.

Worked example: a 4-page order at £118.95 cancelled with 2 pages done — £62.95 chargeable, £56.00 refunded.

Add-ons and third-party fees

  • Add-ons are refunded in full if not yet provided — a posted copy not yet in the post, an extra copy not yet printed.
  • Notarisation and apostille fees are not refundable once submitted to a notary or the Legalisation Office. Our own service fee still is.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of us accepting the cancellation and usually within a few working days.
